Face Jug show
Open Online & in the Gallery…continuing through April 24th, 2017
American Folk’s Face Jug show presents an opportunity to experience nuances of our region’s pottery traditions and quirks. Once created for the storage of Whiskey or Moonshine, they are still that, but also have become a glorious means of personal expression for potters of our region. Many of whom have generations of makers in their families, and who still dig and create their own clay and glaze materials, and fire in wood-fired kilns…A glorious tradition we honor all year, but every April we highlight this great regionalism with a show everyone looks forward to.
